Naju-si Revamps Online Communication Portal 'Nuri Jip'... Enhanced Convenience
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] On the 29th, Naju City in Jeollanam-do announced that it has revamped its website, an online communication channel with citizens.
The completely redesigned Naju City website is scheduled to open on January 1st next year.
This website overhaul focused on improving information accessibility and convenience so that users, the citizens, can find the information they want easily and quickly.
In particular, to fulfill its role as the city's representative portal site and an online public service window, the existing main screen, which felt slow and complicated due to video playback and other features, was completely replaced.
The website main page is structured into four major sections: ‘Frequently Used Services,’ ‘Now, Naju’ (today’s news, photo gallery, and other updates), ‘Information by Category and Services by User,’ and ‘Communicating Naju’ (SNS channels such as Facebook and Instagram).
Among these, the ‘Frequently Used Services’ section was newly created to allow easy access with a single click to information closely related to citizens’ daily lives, such as ‘Civil Complaints,’ ‘Welfare,’ ‘Living,’ and ‘Culture & Tourism,’ including welfare policies and travel information for tourists.
The ‘Information by Category’ section consolidates information on the city administration across various fields such as ‘Health & Welfare,’ ‘Economy & Jobs,’ ‘Transportation & Automobiles,’ ‘Education & Reservations,’ ‘Urban & Housing,’ ‘Disaster & Safety,’ and ‘Environment’ for easy access.
The ‘Services by User’ section also focuses on providing customized information targeting citizens, businesspeople, and tourists.
Along with the main page redesign, the city applied ‘responsive web design’ to ensure that the website can be accessed and used comfortably on any digital device, including PCs, tablets, and smartphones, with optimized screens.
Additionally, a ‘unified search engine’ was newly introduced to enhance content search functions not only on the main website but also across 22 related (family) city websites.
Various features such as topic search and popular keywords were added, enabling users to find frequently sought information easily and quickly.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, “There have been ongoing inconveniences and demands for website improvements, and we have promoted a user-centered website overhaul in the 8th local government term to maximize information accessibility and convenience. We will continue to improve and operate the website by broadly reflecting the opinions of citizens and users from all walks of life.”
