Deepnoid to Utilize Latest AI Technology for Military Personnel Medical Care
AI Diagnostic Service Installed in 10 Military Base Hospitals
[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] Deepnoid, a medical artificial intelligence (AI) specialized company, announced on the 29th that it has developed a medical image sharing and AI-assisted reading service between military hospitals. Deepnoid has completed the service setup at 10 military base hospitals in collaboration with the Armed Forces Medical Command and plans to provide medical services to military personnel.
Military personnel had the inconvenience of having to carry medical imaging data such as X-rays, ultrasounds, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) taken at division medical units when visiting military hospitals for treatment. Deepnoid installed a gateway server at the Medical Command to enable rapid access to medical imaging data from other hospitals, simplifying the treatment process for military personnel. In particular, even at division medical units where image reading is difficult, the AI diagnostic assistance service allows early diagnosis of patient diseases, thereby improving the quality of medical services, Deepnoid explained.
Currently, Deepnoid is participating in the 'AI-X' project by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, providing services such as AI diagnostic service advancement, integration with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and pilot unit installations.
An official from the Medical Command stated, "The PACS currently used by military hospitals has a complicated transmission method and many difficulties in maintenance such as synchronization." He added, "This project was promoted to actively improve these issues, smoothly share patient imaging information among hospitals, provide patient-centered rapid medical services, and establish a cooperative medical image reading system between military hospitals."
