Hong Jun-pyo "What if the prosecutor list is disclosed... Cowards are not real men"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Amid the ongoing debate between the ruling and opposition parties over the Democratic Party's disclosure of the list of prosecutors in charge of investigating Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, Hong Joon-pyo, mayor of Daegu and a former prosecutor, raised his voice saying, "What difference does it make if the list is disclosed?"
On the 27th, Mayor Hong said through his social media service (SNS), "Arguing over the disclosure of the prosecutors' list is rather inappropriate."
He added, "In the past, the list of chief prosecutors was fully disclosed to the media, and that was a time when investigations could be conducted with conviction," and said, "It is quite ridiculous that some people try to intimidate by revealing the names of public prosecutors."
