'Creating a University Where Students Are Happy' Dongshin University Idea Contest Receives Great Response
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dongshin University’s idea contest to create a ‘student-happy university’ received great responses from students.
Dongshin University announced on the 27th that it held the ‘Student-Happy University Idea Contest’ for enrolled students throughout November.
A total of 101 teams participated in the contest’s Daehwakheng (Definite Happiness of University - ideas for a happy Dongshin University for students) and Dongshin University 2035 (ideas for the university’s future vision) categories.
Students came up with various ideas to create a happy and enjoyable campus, such as improving the student cafeteria, establishing a Happy Room, operating a flea market, revitalizing musical performances using the small theater, installing a small library, practicing small donations for juniors, and creating a complex communication center and walking paths.
Dongshin University selected one grand prize team (prize money 1,000,000 KRW), two category excellence award teams (prize money 300,000 KRW each), and five excellence award teams (prize money 100,000 KRW each) through first-round document screening, second-round enrolled student mobile voting, and third-round presentation evaluation, and held the award ceremony on the day.
Additionally, the university plans to share and review the students’ ideas with relevant departments and reflect them in the university’s mid- to long-term development plans for implementation.
