40s Man Arrested for Violating No-Entry Order, Pouring Gasoline and Setting Fire to 20s Woman
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] A man who violated a restraining order, went to find a woman, poured gasoline on her body, and caused an arson disturbance was arrested by the police.
On the 27th, Busanjin Police Station announced that they had apprehended a man in his 40s, Mr. A, on charges of special intimidation and violation of the Stalking Punishment Act.
According to the police, Mr. A went to a restaurant where a woman in her 20s, Ms. B, works at around 9:50 p.m. on the 26th, and, claiming she would not meet him, poured gasoline on both himself and Ms. B and set it on fire, causing a disturbance.
The police responded to Ms. B's report and arrested Mr. A at the scene as a suspect caught in the act.
Due to the fire, Ms. B sustained minor injuries such as singed hair, and Mr. A suffered second-degree burns on his neck and back and is receiving treatment at a hospital.
Mr. A had been subject to a restraining order not to approach Ms. B but violated it and committed the crime.
