So far, the restaurant owners involved in 'Delicious Jeju Making' have voluntarily formed volunteer groups and consistently raised donation funds, while Hotel Shilla supplemented the donations in the form of a 'matching fund' to support the restaurant owners' good deeds.
The volunteer activities of the restaurant owners have been ongoing since 2015. In 2015, they provided delicious sharing meals to over 120 elderly people; in 2016, they gifted blankets to 120 underprivileged households; and in 2017, they donated 125 bags of rice to low-income children in the province, continuing steadily for seven years.
Hotel Shilla's 'Delicious Jeju Making' is a representative social contribution activity that helps small restaurants in Jeju Island recover. Approaching its 10th anniversary next year, 'Delicious Jeju Making' is regarded as a model case of sustainable corporate social responsibility demonstrating a virtuous cycle of coexistence within the local community.
