Imsil-gun to Provide 'Disaster Basic Income' to All Residents... 100,000 Won Per Person
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 26th that it will provide disaster basic income of 100,000 won per person to all residents.
This is the third time this year that Imsil-gun has provided disaster basic income to all residents, following May and September 2022.
The county and the county council decided to provide disaster basic income to revitalize the local economy, which has been depressed due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation and the recent rapid rise in prices, causing many residents to suffer double hardships, and to stabilize the lives of the residents.
The recipients are 26,442 Imsil residents who continuously had their address in the county as of the 31st of last month until the application date, and the total support fund of 2.7 billion won will be paid entirely by the county budget in the form of local currency, Imsil Sarang Gift Certificates.
The application and payment period is from the 29th of this month to February 28th of next year, and the recipients can apply by visiting the town or township office of their address in person.
The application will be processed collectively by the head of the household for each household, and if a proxy applies, a power of attorney and supporting documents such as a family relation certificate must be submitted.
Lee Seong-jae, chairman of the county council, said, "I hope this will be of some help to the residents who are experiencing economic difficulties and contribute to the struggling local economy," and added, "We will always do our best to be a council that embraces and represents the livelihood of the people."
Sim Min, the county governor, said, "In the difficult conditions of COVID-19 and rising prices, all residents are suffering greatly, and this is the third time this year that disaster support funds are being provided," and added, "We will focus more on administration that cares for the livelihood so that all residents can regain their smiles."
