POSCO Group Donates 10 Billion Won in Year-End Neighbor Support Fundraising
Donation of funds to the Community Chest of Korea on the 26th
Cumulative contributions totaling 182 billion won from 1999 to this year
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] POSCO Group donated 10 billion KRW in year-end neighbor-helping funds to the Community Chest of Korea.
At the donation ceremony held on the 26th at the Community Chest of Korea building in Jung-gu, Seoul, Hwang Insik, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, and Yang Wonjun, Head of POSCO Management Support Headquarters, attended.
Since 1999, POSCO has been donating neighbor-helping funds to the Community Chest of Korea at the end of each year. Up to this year, a total of 182 billion KRW has been contributed to the Community Chest of Korea.
The funds delivered to the Community Chest of Korea will be used to support socially vulnerable groups such as future generations, people with disabilities, and multicultural families, as well as projects aimed at solving community problems.
Meanwhile, POSCO employees conducted a winter clothing sharing campaign, distributing coats, padded jackets, and other winter apparel to homeless people facing the severe cold season. About 100 employees participated in making donation clothing and snack sets, contributing to a warm year-end.
POSCO distributed the clothing and snack sets prepared by employees on the 23rd to homeless people vulnerable to the cold through the Seoul Metropolitan Vision Train Center, which helps homeless individuals recovering from alcoholism and mental illnesses.

Additionally, the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation conducted '1% My Little Charity,' an online donation campaign where employees could choose their preferred donation destination and donate 30,000 KRW per person. From the 6th to the 23rd of this month, 29,491 people participated in this 1% My Little Charity, raising 870 million KRW and delivering warm hearts.
