Gangwon Province announced on the 25th that "it secured 9.0183 trillion won in the 2023 government budget, an increase of 900.6 billion won compared to the previous year."
This amount maintains the 8.7758 trillion won in national funding reflected in the government budget proposal in September this year, with an additional 242.5 billion won increased by the National Assembly.
The key projects of Gangwon Province reflected during the National Assembly budget review stage include ▲200 billion won for the establishment of a shared semiconductor education center (equipment purchase cost) ▲1 billion won for the construction of Seomyeon Bridge (design cost) ▲20.7 billion won for the construction of the Chuncheon ~ Sokcho railway (construction cost).
Additionally, it includes ▲2.15 billion won for the third phase of the abandoned mine area tourism industry revitalization project ▲300 million won for the Yangyang Airport inbound pilot airport project (pre-feasibility study cost for facility expansion) ▲5 billion won for three e-mobility projects including the establishment of autonomous driving demonstration evaluation infrastructure based on mountain roads.
