View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] On Christmas Day, the 25th, the nation will be mostly clear, but a cold wave around -15 degrees Celsius will persist, mainly in the central regions.
On this day, the Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Until the 26th, the country will be affected by a cold continental high pressure system moving southward from northern China," adding, "The nation will be mostly clear, with occasional clouds along the eastern coast of Gangwon, the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk, and the western coast of Jeolla."
Cold wave warnings have been issued for most inland areas nationwide.
Daytime temperatures are expected to rise to around 0 degrees Celsius in the central regions excluding the East Sea coast, as well as inland Jeonbuk and Gyeongbuk, and around 5 degrees Celsius in other areas. Winds will blow somewhat strongly, making the perceived temperature even lower.
Morning low temperatures will range from -16 to -1 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will fluctuate between -2 and 8 degrees Celsius.
Morning low temperatures in major areas are Seoul -9°C, Incheon -6°C, Suwon -10°C, Chuncheon -13°C, Gangneung -1°C, Cheongju -8°C, Daejeon -8°C, Jeonju -8°C, Gwangju -7°C, Daegu -6°C, Busan -1°C, and Jeju 5°C.
Daytime highs are Seoul 0°C, Incheon 0°C, Suwon 1°C, Chuncheon 1°C, Gangneung 8°C, Cheongju 2°C, Daejeon 3°C, Jeonju 3°C, Gwangju 3°C, Daegu 5°C, Busan 8°C, and Jeju 8°C.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'normal' due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.

A Korea Meteorological Administration official said, "Except for the East Sea coast and some parts of the Gyeongsang region, snow has accumulated in most areas nationwide, making roads very slippery, so caution is advised for traffic safety."
