This contest is held annually nationwide, hosted by Busan City, organized by the Busan Tourism MICE Promotion Association, and sponsored by BEXCO, aiming to discover growth engines for the Busan MICE industry, find talented individuals in the MICE sector, and strengthen competitiveness.
This year's contest was held under themes such as MICE event planning and attraction, unique venue discovery, and team-building programs.
Choi Seong-min teamed up with Dong-A University student Lee Eun-hye to submit a proposal for the "Busan International Tri-port Week (BITW)" and won the grand prize with a cash award of 3 million KRW.
The students focused on the tri-port, a complex logistics system combining air, port, and railway, as a promising business for Busan, proposing a large-scale hybrid event called "Busan International Tri-port Week (BITW)" involving experts and the general public, which received the highest evaluation.
The proposal was praised for its ability to meet participants' needs through various programs such as booth exhibitions, conferences, industrial tours, themed parties, and networking.
It was also recognized as a plan that successfully combines the MICE industry with the tri-port to create added value and enhance urban competitiveness.
