Yongin City Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Unregistered Outdoor Futsal Courts
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a comprehensive inspection of unregistered outdoor futsal fields and other facilities until the 30th.
Unregistered outdoor futsal fields have seen an increase in complaints related to safety and noise, but it is difficult to even grasp the status of these facilities.
Accordingly, Yongin City has been conducting a comprehensive inspection since the 19th, targeting a total of 33 locations, including unregistered outdoor futsal fields with concentrated complaints and registered soccer and futsal fields.
The inspection focuses on citizen complaints such as noise and late-night lighting, the actual condition of facility operation safety management, facilities (construction), fire safety and response measures, and emergency preparedness.

A city official stated, "Unregistered outdoor futsal fields have been springing up rapidly, increasing citizens' safety concerns and dissatisfaction, but it is difficult to manage them uniformly. Through this comprehensive inspection, we aim to secure the safety of users of unregistered outdoor futsal fields and propose amendments to the Sports Facilities Act so that they can be operated in compliance with facility safety standards, similar to the current registered sports facility businesses."
