[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The 'Jirisan Jungsan Mountain Tourism Center,' which had temporarily suspended operations due to COVID-19, is set to fully resume operations.
According to Sancheong-gun on the 23rd, the Jirisan Jungsan Mountain Tourism Center will begin full-scale operations to provide convenience for visitors to Jirisan.
Sancheong-gun remodeled the entire building during the suspension period caused by COVID-19 and other reasons.
The Jirisan Jungsan Mountain Tourism Center is a facility with one basement floor and three above-ground floors, covering a total area of 2,288㎡, consisting of lodging facilities, exhibition halls, education centers, seminar rooms, convenience stores, and more.
In particular, through an open recruitment process, the agricultural corporation Jinolja was selected as the entrusted operator.
Jinolja plans to provide rest areas and lodging facilities for Jirisan visitors, as well as conduct mountain-related education such as forest trail hiking guides, mountain safety training, and hiking interpreter education.
Additionally, they plan to offer various experiential activities such as local specialty product experiences and flower tea experiences.
A representative of Jinolja stated, "We will do our best to ensure that visitors to Jirisan can use the facilities comfortably," adding, "We will also provide interest and satisfaction through Jirisan climbing-related education and various experiential programs."
