Announcement of 50 Successful Candidates for Police University 2023... Competition Rate 87.4 to 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Korean National Police University announced the final list of 50 successful applicants for the 2023 academic year on the 22nd. Among them, 42 are male and 8 are female.
According to the Korean National Police University, 4,368 candidates applied for this admission, resulting in a competition ratio of 87.4 to 1. The university selected successful applicants by combining the results of the first exam, which included Korean, English, and Mathematics, and the second stage physical examination, which involved fitness tests, aptitude tests, and interviews, along with school records and the College Scholastic Ability Test scores.
12% of the admission quota was allocated to students from rural and fishing villages and through the Hanmaeum Mugunghwa special admission. The rural and fishing village special admission targets students from rural, island, and remote areas, while the Hanmaeum Mugunghwa special admission is for recipients of basic livelihood security, lower-income families, children from multicultural families, and national veterans.

The final successful applicants must register on the application agency’s website from 10 a.m. on the 9th to 6 p.m. on the 11th of next month to qualify for admission. The entrance ceremony will be held on March 2 of next year.
