Local Live, a regional win-win platform operated by Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, announced on the 21st that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Railroad Corporation and the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency to support the capacity building of social enterprises.
Local Live helps discover excellent local products and supports expanding sales channels, thereby enhancing the economic power of small business owners and social enterprises. In particular, this MOU was carried out to promote social enterprise products and realize regional coexistence by utilizing the nationwide infrastructure of Hanwha Hotels & Resorts and Korea Railroad Corporation.
Local Live plans to provide snack sets suitable for eating on trains, composed of social enterprise products selected together with the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency. The handmade cookies "Durihanadaul," made by people with developmental disabilities, and the healthy snacks "Ecomom’s Mountain Village Baby Food," made from domestic ingredients, were selected. The snack sets will be packaged in illustrated assembly gift boxes and introduced at various train stations starting in January next year.
At the waiting rooms, which serve as customer resting areas at train stations nationwide, popup stores featuring excellent social enterprise products from each region are being prepared. Additionally, a dedicated Koreail section offering discounts upon train usage certification will be newly established on the Local Live website. Recently, an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) campaign was successfully completed, providing resort accommodation vouchers and popular products from Local Live as prizes to Korea Railroad Corporation employees.
