Imsil-gun to Host 'Santa Festival' at Cheese Theme Park from 23rd to 25th

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 21st that it will hold the 2022 Imsil Santa Festival at Imsil Cheese Theme Park for three days from the 23rd to the 25th.

The county is paying special attention to the safety management of tourists in preparation for snowfall before and after the festival period.

The Santa Festival is a representative winter festival promoted as part of Jeollabuk-do's key projects to discover and foster attractive tourist destinations by city and county, including the 1 City/County 1 Representative Tourist Destination Development Project and the Winter Tourism Product (Festival) Operation Support Project.

To revitalize winter tourism at the representative tourist destination, Imsil Cheese Theme Park, the county plans to offer special gifts to various tourists such as families and students through various performances, experiences, events, and scenic arrangements.

For this purpose, a variety of distinctive programs have been prepared abundantly.

The festival’s representative program, the ‘Santa Parade Contest,’ involves participating groups marching throughout the theme park dressed in unique Santa costumes and creating a winter atmosphere.

The ‘Family Tree Making’ program, where families create special Christmas trees with their own ideas, and the ‘Fairy Tale Gingerbread House Making Program,’ popular among children, will also be held for a fee.

For young children, a play zone decorated at the Clock Tower Plaza will feature a sledding area where visitors can enjoy ‘Santa Sled Riding’ and the ‘Cheese Curling Competition.’

‘Christmas Air Bounce’ and ‘Children’s Viking’ rides will be installed, giving the Cheese Theme Park amusement park a fresh new look.

Additionally, various programs such as the ‘On-Off Photo Contest’ set against the beautifully decorated Christmas scenery at Imsil Cheese Theme Park, ‘Santa Stamp Tour,’ ‘Santa and Friends,’ and ‘Santa Wish’ balloon releases will blend with winter romance, offering a radio booth and DJ bangsyo that families, couples, and friends can enjoy together.

This festival will captivate visitors’ hearts by creating a fantastic winter atmosphere with various Christmas decorations including a large tree, giant Santa, poinsettia decorations, and a Christmas exhibition hall from around the world, which are indispensable in winter.

The county expects the festival to be a place that captures the innocence of children who want to enjoy exciting play and parents who want to give their children a joyful time, satisfying everyone’s hearts.

County Governor Shim Min said, “The Imsil Santa Festival, which will offer special winter memories, is waiting for you,” and added, “Please be sure to visit the Santa Festival, which has various attractions such as shuttle bus operation for visitor convenience, a local food hall in a large tent providing warm food, and unique winter photo zones that all visitors can enjoy.”
