The first donor is a fan of musical actor Jung Dong-hwa, who participated in the donation chair installation project to celebrate the actor’s birthday.
The donated chairs consist of two backrest chairs installed at the Bongsan entrance of Eunpyeong-gu, accompanied by a message celebrating actor Jung Dong-hwa’s birthday. The production cost was donated by the donor, and the chairs were made and installed by the Eunpyeong Hope Woodworking Workshop.
The district donated the funds to the 2023 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Project. The donation will be used for low-income support projects.
The ‘Donation Chair Project’ involves the Eunpyeong Hope Woodworking Workshop producing donation chairs to be installed in parks, with production costs covered by donations to support low-income residents. This project contributes to spreading a culture of giving and simultaneously enhances public parks, which serve as leisure facilities for residents. Donors can attach a nameplate with a freely chosen message to the chairs.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “Donating chairs to parks is a way to support and enjoy the parks that provide us with many benefits. In particular, the donation chair project is a meaningful way to deliver sharing to the local community. I hope many residents and organizations participate so that parks and the culture of sharing can be enjoyed together.”

View original imageDongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held an Integrity Film Festival at 2 p.m. on the 20th at the Dapsimni Film Media Art Center to promote a ‘culture of integrity in daily life.’
The Integrity Film Festival was planned to improve employees’ integrity mindset and foster a culture of integrity in the workplace by using film media to present the theme of ‘integrity’ in an engaging way, moving away from rigid and boring rote integrity education.
The featured film was ‘Miss Sloane,’ selected as an anti-corruption and integrity film recommended by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. It tells the story of a protagonist who stands up against powerful forces to uphold her beliefs about gun control in American society.
Fifty members of the Integrity Love Club and employees who wished to participate attended the festival and shared their impressions after watching the film.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “We are making various efforts, including culturally approaching the theme of ‘integrity,’ so that employees internalize integrity awareness themselves and a culture of integrity in daily life can be established. We will continue to create a more transparent Dongdaemun-gu through diverse activities.”
