Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Implements Linked Training for Construction Workers' Skill Grading System
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Wanyong] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 19th that it will implement the ‘Construction Worker Skill Grade Linked Training’ for holders of beginner and intermediate skill grades to provide customized competency development support for construction workers by skill grade.
This training, which will be held until March 31 of next year, targets holders of beginner and intermediate skill grades in six trades (formwork carpentry, masonry, waterproofing, tiling, painting, and architectural plumbing) and will be conducted over a total of 4 days (6 hours per day).
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport stated that the Construction Worker Skill Grade Linked Training aims to cultivate skilled construction workers and contribute to alleviating labor shortages at construction sites, and plans to gradually expand the trades and number of participants in the training in the future.
