100 out of 100... Gyeongnam Office of Education, 'Best' in Records Management for 5 Consecutive Years
Nine Education Support Offices in the Province Also Receive 'A' Grade
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Office of Education has been selected as the best institution for five consecutive years in the 2022 Records Management Institution Evaluation hosted by the National Archives under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
According to the provincial Office of Education on the 16th, the National Archives evaluated 231 institutions, including 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education, 176 education support offices, and 38 public institutions under the government.
The evaluation was divided into 11 to 13 detailed indicators across three areas: records management work foundation, work promotion, and excellent fields, with quantitative and qualitative assessments by category, and each institution was assigned one of five grades from ‘Ga’ to ‘Ma’.
The provincial Office of Education scored 100 points in all evaluation indicators and received the ‘Ga’ grade.
In the qualitative evaluation of excellent cases, efforts such as ▲promoting the establishment of the Gyeongnam Office of Education Archives ▲publishing and distributing the Historical Records Work Manual ▲establishing a historical records management system through the creation of school history museums were recognized.
Goseong, Miryang, Yangsan, Uiryeong, Changwon, Tongyeong, Hadong, Hamyang, and Hapcheon Education Support Offices also made the list of the best ‘Ga’ grade institutions.
A provincial Office of Education official explained, “We significantly surpassed the overall average score of 81.3 and the metropolitan and provincial offices of education average of 89.3.”
