Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office Awards Excellent Classes in '2022 Dok·Ho·Min Classroom'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Jeong Hongsik) announced on the 15th that it awarded five comprehensive outstanding classes for the 2022 'Gwangju Independence, Patriots, and Democracy Classroom.'
The 'Gwangju Independence, Patriots, and Democracy Classroom' was conducted using comic books, lesson plans, and experiential teaching aids based on the veterans' history stories of the Gwangju area.
It was veterans' history education themed around the April 4.19 Revolution, May 5.18 Democratization Movement, June 6.25 War and the Gwangju Sandong Battle, and the November Gwangju Student Independence Movement.
A total of 4,772 students from 48 classes in 38 schools in the Gwangju area participated.
Five classes?Gwangju Hyodeok Elementary School (6-5), Daeja Elementary School (4-6), Daechon Jungang Elementary School (6-3), Yeongcheon Elementary School (6-1), and Munwoo Elementary School (5-1)?were selected as the annual comprehensive outstanding classes.
