President Jang Young-su and Director Choi Wan-hyun agreed during the morning signing ceremony to mutually cooperate for the development of marine fisheries science and technology and the cultivation of specialized personnel.
Through this agreement, the two institutions will cooperate on ▲ joint use of research resources and promotion of joint research for research and development ▲ mutual exchange of knowledge and information and joint hosting of symposiums and seminars ▲ joint use of marine research and education-related facilities, equipment, vessels, and other matters.
The National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea, established in 2015 in Seocheon, Chungnam, is the only specialized research, exhibition, and education institution for marine biological resources in Korea, conducting activities to support the fostering of the marine bioindustry, securing and managing marine life resources, and spreading value to the public.
