Incheon District Court Delivers Notice of Forced Real Estate Delivery Execution on 15th
Sky72 "Difficult to Deliver Land Until Prosecutor's Investigation Begins"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seohee Lee] The court has announced the forced execution of land delivery against the operator occupying the 'Sky72' golf course site on Yeongjongdo Island, Incheon.
According to the legal community on the 15th, the Incheon District Court delivered a notice of forced execution of real estate delivery to Sky72 Co., Ltd.
The court warned that if the golf course site on Yeongjongdo Island, Jung-gu, Incheon, is not returned to Incheon International Airport Corporation by the 29th, forced execution of real estate delivery will be carried out, and the costs will be borne by Sky72.
This notice was issued following the Supreme Court ruling on the 1st. The Supreme Court upheld the lower court's decision in favor of the airport corporation in the final appeal trial of the lawsuit filed by Incheon Airport Corporation against Sky72 regarding real estate delivery.
However, Sky72 is reportedly maintaining the position that land delivery is difficult until the results of the prosecution's investigation related to the selection of the golf course operator are released.
A Sky72 official said, "Separate from the lawsuit, the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office is conducting an investigation related to the selection process of the golf course operator under the order of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office for reinvestigation," adding, "If indicted, it could lead to great confusion, so we need to wait for the prosecution's investigation results."
Sky72 has been leasing land on Yeongjongdo Island, the planned site for the construction of the 5th runway, from Incheon International Airport Corporation to develop and operate a golf course and clubhouse.
