Jin Air Selected as Certified Institution for Educational Donation Career Experience
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Jin Air announced on the 15th that it has been selected as an ‘Educational Donation Career Experience Certified Institution.’
The Educational Donation Career Experience Certification is a program that grants certification to institutions operating career experience programs through educational donations. It is a project hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Through active participation of operating institutions, it aims to nurture future talents by providing high-quality education to students on a non-profit basis. Jin Air has been designated as the first educational donation certified institution among domestic airlines. Having operated various career experience programs in the aviation field, Jin Air was also introduced as an exemplary experience provider among the selected certified institutions.
Since June, Jin Air’s cabin crew, flight crew, aircraft maintenance engineers, and flight operations managers have been introducing airline-related jobs to middle and high school students. Additionally, by allowing students to directly experience the work, they have continuously engaged in educational donation activities, enhancing students’ understanding of the aviation industry and serving as mentors for aspiring youth.
Moreover, Jin Air registered its educational program ‘Fly high! Dream high!’ on the ‘Kkumgil (Guide for Dreaming Children)’ site operated by the Ministry of Education, inviting students interested in aviation to the company for free experiential education. Students directly experienced tasks performed by airlines such as in-flight safety activities, customer service, and flight control, and confirmed their aptitude for the profession and the competencies required to become aviation professionals through meetings with current cabin and flight crew members.
To provide more systematic educational support for youth aspiring to become aviation professionals, Jin Air submitted an application for educational donation certification to relevant institutions and, after review, was officially confirmed as a certified company through the Ministry of Education’s announcement on the 14th. Going forward, Jin Air plans to expand educational donations beyond general schools to a wider range and continue its social contribution activities.
