Imsil-gun Ships Premium Strawberries... Supplies to Major Distributors Including NongHyup

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] On the 15th, Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk Province, held the ImsilN Strawberry Shipping Ceremony attended by about 40 people, including County Governor Shim Min, County Council Chairman Lee Seongjae, shipping farmers, and officials from the Nonghyup.

Starting with the shipping ceremony, ImsilN Strawberries plan to be supplied nationwide through major distribution companies such as Lotte Mart, Lotte Super, and Nonghyup until June next year. Year after year, they have been gaining nationwide fame by being recognized for their taste and quality by consumers across the country.

According to the Imsil-gun Cooperative Joint Business Corporation, 21 cultivation farmers are conducting collective shipping of ImsilN Strawberries, steadily increasing sales since the strawberry collective shipping association began in 2012.

This year, they achieved the highest sales record ever by selling 319 tons and earning 3.173 billion KRW, emerging as a key product in the region.

All members of the ImsilN Strawberry collective shipping association cultivate using GCM farming methods (microbial utilization farming) and have GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) certification, ensuring safe food from production to sales, recognized by consumers.

With support from the root vitality agent and sweetness enhancer provided by the Imsil-gun Cooperative Joint Business Corporation and thorough management by farmers, high sweetness and firmness are maintained.

In particular, the county is supporting the expansion of the strawberry base by investing a total of 350 million KRW in three projects: 100 million KRW for labor costs of APC joint sorting, 200 million KRW for supplying excellent seedlings, and support for nutrient solution facility equipment and modernization of horticulture facilities.
