Gyeongnam National University and Hawaii Pacific University Sign International Exchange Agreement Including English Programs
Promise of Mutual Cooperation to Expand Training Opportunities in Major Fields by 2027

Gyeongnam National University signed an academic exchange agreement with Hawaii Pacific University in 2018 and has continued mutual exchanges for the development of both universities, such as providing specialized overseas training in health, welfare, and tourism in Hawaii for students of the Department of Nursing and the School of Tourism at Gyeongnam National University.
The agreement made on the 14th extends the existing academic exchange agreement for five years. Through this agreement, Gyeongnam National University and Hawaii Pacific University promised to continue mutual cooperation until 2027 in ▲expanding international exchange major fields ▲establishing English programs and various other educational programs.
Additionally, they agreed to actively cooperate in discovering educational values and fostering future talents between the two universities, by providing diverse practical experiences to students majoring in ‘Nursing and Health Sciences’ and ‘Hotel and Tourism Management’ and strengthening student capabilities through experience-based learning.
The signing ceremony was attended by Gyeongnam National University President Park Jae-gyu, Hawaii Pacific University Vice President Jennifer Walsh, Chairman Kim Sun-hyang of the University of North Korean Studies, and Dean Manny Segal of the Vocational Education College at Hawaii Pacific University, among other officials.
Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) is a private comprehensive university located in Honolulu and Kaneohe, Hawaii, USA, offering more than 40 undergraduate programs and graduate master’s and doctoral programs in fields such as Business Administration, Nursing, English Literature, Hotel Management, Electrical Engineering, and Oceanography.
