Financial Sector ATM and Branch Location Information Now Available on Naver Map and T Map
[Asia Economy Reporter Sim Nayoung] It was announced on the 15th that the location information of financial sector ATMs and branches provided by the existing financial map service 'Geumyung Daedongyeojido' will be available from the 16th on major domestic map platforms such as Naver Map, T Map, and Hyundai-Kia Motors navigation systems.
The Financial Services Commission and the Bank of Korea, in collaboration with the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute and the financial sector, have built a comprehensive financial sector ATM and branch database, integrating the latest information such as location, fees, and malfunction support functions, and are providing a service that allows users to access this information through smartphone apps.
Previously, financial consumers had to install separate apps such as Geumyung Map, Mobile Cash Card, or Account Info apps to use the financial map service information, but from now on, they can use it more easily through frequently used map platforms in daily life.
A Financial Services Commission official explained, "Financial consumers can conveniently check more extensive and accurate financial sector ATM and branch location information through major private map platforms such as Naver Map, T Map, and Hyundai-Kia Motors navigation systems in their daily lives. Not only does this include ATM location information operated by CD and VAN companies through linkage with the financial map service DB, but it also updates and reflects changes in ATM and branch location information such as relocations and closures once a day."

He added, "Participating institutions such as financial companies and map platform operators expect that the ATM and branch information provision channels will be unified and automated through the financial map DB in the future, thereby reducing the workload related to providing and obtaining information."
