Gwangju Nam-gu 119 Safety Education Center Designated as a Specialized Institution for Children's Safety Education
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Southern Fire Station announced on the 13th that the Nam-gu 119 Safety Education Center has been designated as a 'Children's Safety Education Specialized Institution' by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The 'Children's Safety Education Specialized Institution' was established following the enforcement of the 'Act on the Safety Management of Children' in November 2020 to prevent risks to children's lives and bodies and to ensure children's safety through specialized safety education institutions.
Employees of 22 types of child-use facilities, including daycare centers, kindergartens, elementary schools, child welfare facilities, and academies, are required to complete 4 hours of children's safety education annually, including practical emergency first aid training.
Accordingly, the Nam-gu 119 Safety Education Center was designated as a Children's Safety Education Specialized Institution on the 9th after document and on-site evaluations. The children's safety education program consists of emergency response procedures, major internal and external emergency first aid theories, and infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation tailored to the field.
