The Ministry of Environment announced that the yellow dust crisis alert 'Caution' level was issued as the fine dust (PM10) concentration in the Gangwon region exceeded 300㎍/㎥ per hour for 2 consecutive hours. The yellow dust crisis alert 'Interest' level is issued when the daily average fine dust (PM10) concentration due to yellow dust exceeds 150㎍/㎥.
Accordingly, the areas under the yellow dust crisis alert 'Caution' level have increased to four, including Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon. Nine regions including Daejeon, Sejong, Chungbuk, Chungnam, Gwangju, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, and Jeju are currently under the 'Interest' level alert.
Earlier on the same day, at 10 AM, the yellow dust crisis alert 'Caution' level was issued for the Seoul area, and at 7 AM, the 'Caution' level was issued for Incheon and Gyeonggi regions.
