[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 13th that it will hold the 'Korea-Vietnam Public Administration Cooperation Forum' with the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam in Hanoi on the 14th to expand cooperation in the field of public administration with Vietnam.
Earlier, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, the two countries elevated their relationship to a 'comprehensive and strategic partnership' and agreed to strengthen communication in areas such as economy, infrastructure, and energy. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to use this opportunity to concretize cooperation with Vietnam in the field of public administration as well.

In addition to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the forum will include the Ministry of Personnel Management, Sejong City, the National Archives, and the Local Autonomy Human Resources Development Institute, sharing policies on national balanced development, national record management, and resident registration with the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam and discussing cooperation measures. Byungpil Ha, Director General of Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, said, "We will concretize cooperation measures in the field of public administration, taking advantage of the upgraded relationship with Vietnam."
