[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 20s who induced conditional meetings, secretly filmed illegal videos, and threatened the victim leading to an extreme choice has been brought to trial while in custody.
On the 13th, the Women and Children Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor An Seong-hee) announced that A (29) was indicted in custody on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (coercion to use filmed materials, filming and distribution using cameras, etc.) and extortion.
A is accused of conspiring with minor B (15) to lure victim C (44) into a conditional meeting and secretly filming their sexual intercourse. He also installed malicious software on C's mobile phone and sent the videos to C, C's family, and acquaintances.
Additionally, A threatened C to extort 20 million won in cash and demanded several tens of millions more. Unable to endure this, C made an extreme choice in October.
The prosecution also revealed that A had sexual relations with 11 women involved in prostitution between August and September and secretly filmed them with his mobile phone.
