Exclusive Sale of KakaoTalk Gift 'Wonsoju Christmas Edition'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Kakao announced on the 13th that it will exclusively release the 'Wonsoju Christmas Edition' on KakaoTalk Gift.
Wonsoju manufacturer One Spirits previously launched a gift set consisting of 'Wonsoju' and 'Wonsoju Spirit' exclusively on KakaoTalk Gift, one of the online distribution channels, on the 21st of last month.
As soon as sales began on Gift, purchases continued rapidly, and all 50,000 bottles prepared on the launch day were sold out. Currently, about 5,000 bottles are sold daily on average.
The Wonsoju Christmas Edition, available only on Gift, consists of Wonsoju and Wonsoju Spirit, and features a stylish package illustrated with works by artist Lee Joo-won along with a Christmas postcard. A limited sale of 10,000 sets will begin from 8 a.m. today.
As the product range on Gift diversifies, traditional liquor is emerging as a new popular gift. Unique traditional liquors that break away from the stereotype of being old-fashioned and expensive are gaining popularity mainly among the MZ generation, expanding the number of traditional liquor products on Gift to over 1,600.
