Winter Hats, Gloves, and Neck Warmers Worth 20 Million KRW Distributed to 300 Seniors in Ulsan
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A support event to help elderly people collecting scrap paper have a warm winter will be held in Ulsan.
Ulsan City announced that on the 13th at 11:30 a.m., a sponsorship fund delivery ceremony to support elderly scrap paper collectors will be held in the reception room on the 7th floor of the city hall main building, attended by Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, BNK Gyeongnam Bank President Choi Hong-young, and Chairman Kim Cheol of the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross.
The sponsorship fund delivered on this day amounts to about 20 million KRW.
This event was organized by BNK Gyeongnam Bank to support elderly people who engage in outdoor activities collecting scrap paper despite the cold weather, helping them endure the severe winter.
The sponsorship funds will be used to provide one set each of winter hats, gloves, and neck warmers to approximately 300 elderly scrap paper collectors through the administrative welfare centers of five districts/counties by the end of December this year.
Choi Hong-young, President of BNK Gyeongnam Bank, said, “Starting with this sharing event, we will continue to accompany vulnerable groups so that no one is left isolated in hardship, including elderly scrap paper collectors.”
