Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital, 7 Consecutive Times 1st Grade in Blood Dialysis Adequacy Evaluation
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital announced on the 13th that it received a first-grade rating with a comprehensive score of 99 in the 7th Hemodialysis Adequacy Evaluation recently released by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
The hospital received consistently high scores across various indicators, including the proportion of doctors specializing in hemodialysis, the average number of dialysis sessions per doctor per day, the proportion of nurses with more than two years of hemodialysis experience, the average number of dialysis sessions per nurse, the fulfillment rate of arteriovenous fistula stenosis monitoring, and the adequacy rate of hemodialysis.
Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital has maintained a first-grade rating for seven consecutive evaluations and was also selected for additional payments granted only to the top 10% of institutions.
The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service conducts the hemodialysis adequacy evaluation to improve the quality of hemodialysis-related medical services and to provide the public with necessary information for medical service selection.
The evaluation comprehensively assesses structural aspects such as personnel, facilities, and equipment, as well as the process and outcome aspects of care, including hemodialysis adequacy, vascular management, and anemia management, targeting medical institutions performing hemodialysis. Based on the results, a system of additional or reduced payments is implemented.
