Emart Offers Fruit Sets via KakaoTalk Gift... "Diversifying Sales Channels"
Diverse Selection of Domestic and Imported Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Emart announced on the 13th that it will launch premium fruit gift sets that can be conveniently sent and received via KakaoTalk Gift ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The products introduced this time are Farmers Pick Green Sapphire and Farmers Pick Green Emerald. These are prepared under the Farmers Pick brand, where Emart buyers directly select excellent farms and participate in everything from cultivation to product selection and distribution processes to enhance reliability.
Farmers Pick Green Sapphire consists of nine types of fruits, including traditional domestic fruits such as apples, pears, persimmons, and tangerines, as well as Shine Muscat, dragon fruit, musk melon, mango, and avocado. This reflects the trend that the variety of fruits placed on the ancestral rites table is gradually increasing, and the meaning of holiday fruit gifts is shifting from ritual offerings to desserts shared by the whole family. In fact, according to sales performance of fruit gift sets during last Chuseok, mixed fruit gift sets including Shine Muscat and mango recorded about 40% higher sales than gift sets composed solely of pears and apples.
Since the end of April this year, Emart has been diversifying sales channels using KakaoTalk Gift, starting with Farmers Pick Stevia tomatoes, cherries, apples, and oranges, and in summer targeting small households with small-sized Kkamang Apple Watermelons. This strategy aims to increase customer touchpoints so that customers can more easily gift and purchase Emart’s competitive fresh food products through a simple gifting channel that has expanded its base from the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) to the 50s and 60s age groups.
