The foundation announced on the 8th that it received the '2022 Ministerial Commendation for Contribution to Cloud Industry Development' awarded by the Minister of Science and ICT at the 'Grand Cloud Conference 2022' held at the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center in Pangyo, Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do.
The foundation was recognized for its pioneering efforts in actively introducing and expanding the use of private cloud in its operations, contributing to the revitalization of the industrial ecosystem.
Cloud is a service that embeds programs in virtualized servers, allowing information data to be freely accessed anytime and anywhere.
The government plans to convert and integrate all administrative and public institution information systems to the cloud by 2025.
Following this government policy and the latest technological trends, the foundation newly introduced private cloud in 2017. Since then, it has fully converted its public-facing information systems to cloud infrastructure services (IaaS) and introduced cloud software services (SaaS), expanding the scope of cloud utilization within the foundation.
For up to 15 informatization projects including major public services provided by the foundation such as Jobaba, Integrated Reception System (Jobaba Apply), and Kkumnalgae, the foundation reduced informatization costs and improved the efficiency of informatization resources through integrated cloud management. In particular, it provides stable services through 24/7 security monitoring.
Externally, it contributed to resolving the imbalance in cloud sector workforce demand by supporting cloud industry workforce training and job linkage in collaboration with companies and institutions.
After conducting education, it has been fostering cloud experts and developers through experiential job training programs, work experience provision programs, and support for obtaining professional qualifications.
