Active Promotion Efforts for Successful Year-End and New Year Fundraising
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is actively encouraging fundraising for neighbors in need as the year-end and New Year approach.
On the 5th, County Governor Kim Soon-ho held a policy discussion meeting with department heads, emphasizing active participation in helping neighbors through the 2023 Hope Sharing Campaign and Red Cross membership fee collection.
At the discussion, Governor Kim ordered thorough execution of current tasks, including active neighborly assistance, preparation for winter cold waves to prevent inconveniences in daily civil complaints such as water supply, establishment of year-end public service discipline, and thorough inspection of various ongoing projects.
Gurye-gun plans to actively encourage fundraising activities to widely spread the culture of sharing and donation within the region, and the collected funds will be used to support low-income and other neighbors in need.
First, through the Hope 2023 Sharing Campaign fundraising, Gurye residents will be supported with living expenses and medical costs. The 2023 fundraising target is set at approximately 230 million won, a 10% increase from last year's 210 million won, with fundraising continuing until January 31, 2023.
Additionally, Gurye-gun will promote Red Cross membership fee collection targeting household heads, individual business owners, and corporations to accelerate the creation of a warm atmosphere in Gurye.
The Red Cross membership fee collection is conducted year-round, with a focused fundraising period until January 31, 2023. To achieve the target amount of 39 million won, a notice of 10,000 won per household head will be issued for fundraising.
In particular, Gurye-gun plans to promote active publicity through fundraising by related organizations and village units, posting on LED electronic boards in towns and townships, and through village chief meetings and institutional organization meetings to ensure successful fundraising activities.
Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “Please actively promote fundraising activities to achieve the target amount, encourage voluntary participation, and strive to create a happy year-end and New Year atmosphere for everyone.”
