"Comfortably Hearty Gukbap at Convenience Stores" 7-Eleven Launches 'One-Meal Sundaeguk Dosirak'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Seven Eleven announced on the 7th that it will launch the ‘One Meal Sundaeguk Dosirak’ as a winter season product, allowing customers to enjoy a warm meal during the cold winter.
Sundaeguk is known as a representative Korean ‘soul food,’ but it is one of the dishes that are mainly relied on dining out due to the difficulty of preparing ingredients and seasoning.
In response to the worsening lunch inflation caused by continuous price increases, Seven Eleven released this menu at a reasonable price less than half that of specialty restaurants.
The dish is packed with protein-rich Sundae and pork head meat, along with a generous amount of chili seasoning sauce, perilla powder, green onions, and Cheongyang chili peppers. Simply add the included beef bone broth and water, then microwave it to enjoy the deep soup flavor comparable to that of specialty restaurants.
The side dishes include stir-fried radish kimchi, Cheongyang chili peppers, garlic, ssamjang, and seasoned perilla leaves to enhance the flavor of the Sundaeguk.
