According to Reuters, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said during a phone briefing with reporters, "We are taking all necessary measures to ensure security against Ukraine," adding, "The continued terrorist attacks by the Ukrainian regime are dangerous."
On the 5th (local time), explosions occurred at two military airfields in Ryazan City, Ryazan Oblast, and Engels City, Saratov Oblast in western Russia, resulting in three deaths. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the incident was an attack using drones by Ukraine. On the same day, another drone attack occurred at an airfield in Kursk Oblast, near the Ukrainian border.
