JVM Obtains International Privacy Protection Certification 'ISO27701'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] JVM announced on the 6th that it has obtained ISO27701 (Privacy Information Management System), an international standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and certified by Lloyd's Register in the UK.
ISO27701 is the first international standard defining the requirements for privacy information management systems. It is a newly established standard that expands on the existing information security management system concept of ISO27001. ISO27701 includes the requirements and guidelines that organizations must establish to protect personal information.
JVM has additionally built global-level privacy management capabilities to obtain this new certification. It met the audit criteria covering 14 related areas including information security policies, physical security, information access control, and legal compliance, as well as 114 detailed control items.
