BMW Officially Launches Flagship SAV 'New X7' in Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] BMW Korea announced on the 6th that it will officially launch the flagship Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) 'New X7,' which boasts overwhelming presence and various premium features, in the domestic market.
The BMW X7 was first launched globally in 2019. The New X7 released domestically this time is a facelift model close to a complete redesign. The New X7 incorporates the latest design elements. The new split headlights positioned at the front harmonize with the BMW kidney grille. At the rear, newly designed slim 3D rear lights are installed.
The high-performance M Performance model, New X7 M60i xDrive, features the BMW kidney grille, M side mirror caps, window lines, and roof rails finished in black high gloss, and is equipped with 22-inch jet black wheels. Inside, the dashboard is equipped with the latest BMW curved display, consisting of a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display. The center fascia with a simple design and the center console with a new gear selector lever provide a more spacious feeling for the front seats.
The New X7 comes standard with the latest engine featuring a 48-volt mild hybrid system, the Steptronic Sport automatic 8-speed transmission, and the intelligent all-wheel-drive system BMW xDrive. The New X7 xDrive40i, which applies the latest generation inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine for the first time, delivers a maximum output of 381 horsepower, an increase of 41 horsepower from before, and a maximum torque of 55 kg·m. It takes 5.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The diesel model, New X7 xDrive40d, is equipped with an inline 6-cylinder diesel engine producing a maximum output of 340 horsepower and a maximum torque of 73.4 kg·m, requiring only 5.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h.
The high-performance M Performance model New X7 M60i xDrive is equipped with a new 4.4-liter M TwinPower Turbo V8 gasoline engine delivering a maximum output of 530 horsepower and a maximum torque of 76.5 kg·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. Additionally, the M Sport exhaust system provides the sporty sound unique to high-performance models.
The New X7 is available in two trims: Design Pure Excellence and M Sport Package. All trims offer a choice between 6-seat or 7-seat configurations, providing a total of 9 options (the New X7 M60i xDrive is only available in 6-seat).
The price for the gasoline model New X7 xDrive40i ranges from 145.8 million to 150.3 million KRW, the diesel model New X7 xDrive40d ranges from 146.8 million to 151.3 million KRW, and the high-performance M Performance model New X7 M60i xDrive is priced at 179.6 million KRW.

Additionally, a limited edition model will be unveiled through BMW's online sales channel at 3 PM on December 13. The price for the New X7 M60i xDrive First Edition is 182.1 million KRW, and the New X7 xDrive40i Design Pure Excellence First Edition is 155.7 million KRW.
