Lee Yong-gyun, CEO of RSquare, Receives 2022 Presidential Citation for SW Industry
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Lee Yong-gyun, CEO of R-Square, received the 'Presidential Citation' in recognition of his contributions to the development of South Korea's software (SW) industry.
At the '23rd SW Industry Day' held by the Korea Software Industry Association on the 5th, CEO Lee was awarded the '2022 Presidential Citation for Contributions to Software Industry Development.' The event was hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Software Industry Association and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.
R-Square, led by CEO Lee, built a database (DB) of 300,000 domestic and international buildings secured through direct and comprehensive surveys. The company was recognized for resolving information asymmetry in the commercial real estate market through IT convergence and pioneering a new software market.
Based on the database of 300,000 commercial real estate buildings domestically and abroad, R-Square provides services such as data analytics, brokerage for office, retail (commercial facilities), and logistics center leasing, purchase and sale consulting, property management (PM), and interior remodeling.
The company is expanding its business overseas, entering markets in Vietnam and Singapore. By the end of this year, it plans to complete comprehensive surveys of commercial real estate data in major Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
