Asia Fintech Associations Gather Together... 'Asia Fintech Roundtable' Held
Sharing Current Regulatory Statuses of Various Countries and Discussing Exchange Methods
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Fintech-related associations and organizations from major Asian countries gathered to discuss the revitalization of the fintech industry.
On the 5th, the Korea Fintech Industry Association announced that it jointly hosted the 'Asia Fintech Roundtable' event with the Korea Fintech Support Center on the 2nd.
At the event, fintech-related associations and investment institutions from six countries including Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) visited Korea and participated in a 3-night 4-day schedule featuring events such as 'Night of Fintech Professionals,' 'Asia Fintech Roundtable,' and 'Meeting with K-Fintech.'
During the 'Asia Fintech Roundtable,' measures to promote private-sector exchanges for the advancement of the Asian fintech industry were discussed. Following this, the 'Meeting with K-Fintech' introduced the current status of Korea's fintech support projects and major domestic fintech companies. The fintech markets and regulatory statuses of each country were also shared, and discussions related to overseas expansion continued.

Lee Geun-joo, Chairman of the Korea Fintech Industry Association, stated, "The biggest difficulty faced by domestic fintech companies trying to expand overseas is the lack of information about local markets," adding, "We will actively support the global market entry of K-Fintech by strengthening cooperation among associations that best understand each country's market and regulatory environment."
