Namwon-si Community Childcare Sharing Center Holds Childcare Cooperative Achievement Presentation
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] The Namwon City Shared Childcare Centers (Branches 1 to 5) in Jeonbuk recently concluded the year with a performance presentation event for child care cooperative activities held at the Jirisan Small Theater.
According to the Namwon City Shared Childcare Centers on the 5th, the child care cooperative performance presentation event shared representative cooperative activities from each branch and also featured a talent show performed by cooperative families, showcasing what they learned through regular programs.
The Shared Childcare Centers provide communal childcare spaces among neighbors and support child care cooperative activities to alleviate the childcare burden on parents with children.
Since opening the first branch (Noam-dong Hanshin@) in 2019, the city currently operates five Shared Childcare Centers, with a total of 26 groups engaged in child care cooperative activities, involving 78 families (282 individuals).
Song, the leader of the Child Care Cooperative Dorandoran Team (3 families and 8 children), said, “The children eagerly look forward to the cooperative activities where mothers prepare snacks together and engage in various games. It’s not just about raising my own child well, but experiencing firsthand the advantages of communal childcare by raising our children together.”
Cha Mi-hwa, Director of the Women and Family Division, stated, “We will continue to support the activation of child care cooperatives that reduce the childcare burden on families with children and add joy, so that the culture of sharing and care can be further expanded.”
