20 Heads of Cabbage for Kimchi Making '210,000 Won'... 12.8% Cheaper Than Last Year

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Taemin] The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) announced on the 4th that as of the 1st of this month, the cost of making kimchi with 20 heads of cabbage was 208,820 won, which is 12.8% lower compared to a year ago. Compared to the cost surveyed a month ago (November 10), it is 5.7% less, and compared to a week ago (November 24), it decreased by 0.8%.
By item, the price of radish dropped 10.3% compared to a week ago, and the prices of cabbage, green onions, chive onions, onions, and mustard greens also fell by 1 to 2%. However, prices of some items such as minari and ginger, whose supply did not sufficiently increase compared to demand during the kimchi-making season, rose.
