POSCO Group, Discovering ESG Management Ideas with University Students
Hosting the Corporate Citizen Level-Up Ground
On the 2nd, Park Sung-jin, in charge of Industry-Academic Cooperation at POSCO Holdings Future Technology Research Institute, is delivering an encouragement speech at the Corporate Citizenship Level-Up Ground held at the POSCO Center in Seoul.

On the 2nd, POSCO Group held the 'Corporate Citizenship Level-Up Ground' at the POSCO Center in Seoul with about 120 university students taking the course 'Corporate Citizenship Management and ESG' from Seoul Women's University, Sungkyunkwan University, Sookmyung Women's University, POSTECH, and Hanyang University (in alphabetical order).
Since last year, POSCO Group has been supporting universities to offer 'Corporate Citizenship Management and ESG' as a regular course. Students receive mentoring from corporate citizenship dedicated teams of each group business company, including POSCO, POSCO International, POSCO Chemical, POSCO Flow, POSCO Steelion, and POSCO Mobility Solutions, to help them develop creative ideas.
The Corporate Citizenship Level-Up Ground is a place to organize learned content and share ideas from projects carried out. Exchange students selected from outstanding university students at POSCO Group's overseas subsidiaries and sent to POSTECH also participated, presenting ESG trends and issues in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
In the excellent project sessions by university, Seoul Women's University presented on forming a waste fishing net value chain, Sungkyunkwan University on branding strategies for corporate citizenship fandom, Sookmyung Women's University on life cycle assessment (LCA) of color-coated steel and expanding the application of eco-friendly materials, and Hanyang University on urban forest management using steel byproduct slag.

Cheon Seong-hyun, head of POSCO Corporate Citizenship Office, said, "I thank the students and professors who studied corporate citizenship management for a semester and considered solutions to related issues of POSCO Group, as well as the field personnel who participated in mentoring." He emphasized, "I hope university students, the future generation, will support POSCO Group, which pursues these values, along with a proper understanding of corporate citizenship."
