Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital Introduces 'Chatbot Appointment Booking'... Follow-up Patients Can Book, Change, and Cancel 24/7
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital has introduced a 'chatbot' medical appointment system that allows follow-up patients to make, change, and cancel appointments 24 hours a day.
Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital stated on the 1st, "The introduction of this chatbot service follows the selection of the hospital as a medical institution for the 'AI Voucher Support Project' led by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency in March. It is expected to increase patient satisfaction as there is no need to visit the hospital in person or wait to be connected to a counselor."
Follow-up patients can use the chatbot appointment system by choosing either the 'KakaoTalk Notification Talk function' or the 'Telephone Reservation Center ARS Chatbot Reservation function.' Additionally, appointments can be made more easily via the chatbot web browser without the need to install a separate application.
Follow-up patients who need to make an appointment can provide consent for personal information such as name and resident registration number through the chatbot, then search for and select the medical department and professor. The earliest available date among the professor’s consultation days will be assigned, and if the desired date is not available, patients can use the 'Other Schedule' function to book on their preferred date. However, first-time patients visiting the hospital must still make reservations by phone as before.
