Ministry of Health and Welfare Holds '2022 Women Homeless Case Management Reporting Conference'
[Asia Economy Reporter Byeon Seon-jin] The Ministry of Health and Welfare will hold the ‘2022 Women Homeless Case Management Reporting Conference’ by the 2nd to share excellent case management experiences of female homeless individuals in homeless facilities.
Hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and co-organized by the Religious Homeless Support Public-Private Cooperation Network and the Korea Self-Support Training Institute, this event will be attended by about 150 people, including local government officials in charge of homeless welfare and workers at homeless facilities.
The reporting conference was prepared to strengthen the expertise in case management for female street homeless individuals and to collect field opinions for the development of homeless policies, in accordance with the implementation plan of the '2nd Comprehensive Plan for Welfare and Self-Reliance Support for the Homeless, etc.'
Additionally, the Ministry of Health and Welfare is developing a female homeless case management manual that can be referenced by workers at all homeless facilities, together with women-only homeless facilities such as the Open Women’s Center this year.

Furthermore, at this reporting conference, a total of 25 commendations from the Minister of Health and Welfare will be awarded to local governments, homeless facilities, local government officials, and workers at homeless facilities to encourage those engaged in homeless welfare work.
