Fire Safety Management? Gyeongnam Named 'Nationwide Best'
The 1st National Fire Safety Management Practical Skills Competition
Jinju Ildong Miraju and Korea Racing Authority Bukyeong Headquarters, Fire Commissioner Award
Gyeongnam Jinju Gangnam Ildong Miraju and Korea Racing Authority Busan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters won the Grand Prize at the 1st National Fire Safety Management Practical Skills Competition.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gangnam Ildong Miraju in Jinju, Gyeongnam, and the Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters won awards at the 1st National Fire Safety Management Practical Skills Competition.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters on the 29th, Ildong Miraju received the grand prize in the special grade category, and the Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters received the grand prize in the first grade category.
The competition held on the 28th was hosted by the National Fire Agency and organized by the Korea Fire Safety Institute.
It was held for the first time this year to discover and share excellent fire safety plans, strengthen the work capabilities of fire safety managers, and expand the base of fire safety culture.
The competition was conducted in three categories?special grade, first grade, and second/third grade?according to the scale of the fire target, and fire safety managers selected through preliminary rounds from 19 fire headquarters nationwide participated in the competition.
Ildong Miraju and the Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters presented fire safety plans and excellent fire safety management cases tailored to the characteristics of their targets, winning the grand prize, the National Fire Agency Commissioner’s Award, and a prize of 700,000 KRW.
Lee Younghyo, fire safety manager of Ildong Miraju, said, “I feel proud that the time I have spent contemplating fire safety management was recognized through this competition,” adding, “I will continue to do my best to prevent fires and prepare thoroughly for the target facilities.”
