Korea Green Finance Forum Seminar on 'Greenwashing and Climate Change'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Korea Green Finance Forum announced on the 28th that it held the 4th seminar on the 25th at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul, under the theme "Indexing Greenwashing And Climate Change."
The Korea Green Finance Forum (GFF-K) is an industry-government-academia green finance open platform launched in June last year to promote green finance by connecting domestic green finance experts and expanding networks with overseas stakeholders.
The event featured presentations and discussions on topics such as "Greenwashing and Climate Change Risks," "Green Bonds and Central Banks," "Methods for Detecting Greenwashing Using AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Big Data," and "Assessment of the Impact of Climate Change Risks on Macroeconomics and Financial Stability."
Based on research, the Korea Green Finance Forum plans to propose ways to expand green finance through effective policy formulation and legislation targeting the government regulating environment and finance, financial institutions supplying green funds, and research institutions and universities studying green finance.
The seminar was attended by many international experts, including Kim Sang-hyup, Co-chairman of the 2050 Carbon Neutral Green Growth Committee, Yoo Je-cheol, Vice Minister of Environment, and Yoshino Naoyuki, Professor at Keio University.
