Yongin City to Spend 2 Billion Won on Replacing Aging Water Pipelines in Four Locations Including Cheoin-gu Kimryangjang-dong
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province has replaced a 2.7km section of aging water pipes that have been in use for over 20 years with clean new pipes.
Yongin City announced on the 28th that it recently completed the replacement work of old water pipes in four locations: 254-87, Gimnyangjang-dong, Cheoin-gu; 641, Sangha-dong, Giheung-gu; 393-1, Dunjeon-ri, Pogok-eup, Cheoin-gu; and 658-5, Deokseong-ri, Idong-eup, Cheoin-gu, investing a total of 2 billion KRW.
The city plans to invest 2.4 billion KRW next year to replace 3.3km of aging water pipes in four locations: 879-1, Jukjeon-dong, Suji-gu; 1112, Jukjeon-dong, Suji-gu; 489-6, Sanggal-dong, Giheung-gu; and 213-2, Gimnyangjang-dong, Cheoin-gu.

A city official stated, "Although the replacement of water pipes causes traffic inconvenience due to construction, it is essential to provide clean water. We will continue to sequentially replace aging water pipes so that all citizens can use clean and safe water supply."
